Knights of Columbus

The Knights of Columbus has been a part of Seven Holy Founders for over 70 years? In those 70 years we’ve raised and donated an estimated $300,000 for the Cardinal Glennon Developmental center in St Louis, sent at least 2 highschoolers to the Pro Life March each year, helped send youths to the Steubenville conference, and help with Luke 18 retreats. The council is named for a previous pastor of our parish - Fr Ambrose Griffin. We have members from 18 to 90 years old with a good portion of our active members between 25 and 55.  Both the State and Supreme councils have college scholarships available for members and their children.  Last year 1 scholarship went unused because no one applied.

The State council has a grant program for catholic schools to help improve their religious education programs.  We have a fortune 1000 insurance program designed by a parish priest in 1882 to help care for catholic families in time of need.  We’ve restructured our programs to focus on more faith and family growth and fun.

Want to join the fun? No need to wait till the December Hospitality Sunday.  Sign up anytime at http:// www.kofc.org/joinus and put council 3586 in the preferred council box.  Sign up before the end of the year and your $30 dues will cover you until November 2019.

Council members will be available after all Masses Dec 8 and 9 to talk about our mission and our organization.  We'll also have out "Keep Christ in Christmas" and "Jesus is the reason for the season" signs for sale at Hospitality Sunday.  Cost is $5 per sign with all proceeds benefiting various Knights Charities.

Tootsie Roll Drive Update A huge thank you needs to go to SHF parishioners as they helped us raise $880 of our over $6,000 total for the Developmental disabilities drive this year.
