St Vincent de Paul Society 2018

St. Vincent de Paul Holiday Food Drive 2018

St. Vincent de Paul Holiday Food Drive
Christmas is less than a month away. As we gather with our families over the upcoming holidays for
wonderful celebrations filled with good food, other families will sit down to
meager dinners, overshadowed by the worries of job lay-offs, overdue bills, and utility shut-offs. From now until mid-December, the SVDP Society is again asking for donations of non-perishable food items
to make Christmas food baskets for the poor in our area. Or, donations can be dropped off
in theback of Church or at the Rectory. Many thanks!!!

What is needed most are items containing meat, such as stew, chili, ravioli, tuna, canned ham etc.
Monetary donations are also most appreciated.

You can contact Gene Murphy @ ebm84212@aol.com or 314-631-8248. if you would like to help or
have any questions.

Thank you to those who have already donated to the 2018 Holiday Food Drive!

Vincentians at SHF will answer all calls to our Hotline number 365 days a year 24hrs/7days a week.

PREVIEW: New St. Vincent dePaul Society Christmas Assistance in 2018

Dear Generous Parishioners:
With the Christmas season rapidly approaching, Seven Holy Founders St. Vincent de Paul Society
will be changing the way we provide assistance to our local “Neighbors in Need”.
In order to more adequately meet the needs of our less fortunate neighbors and more closely match our gifts to their needed items, we are hoping to have each less fortunate family personally adopted by an organization or a group of family/ friends from SHF. Our hope is that we can have enough groups come forward to provide for all of our neighbors who come to us for assistance at Christmas.
For those of you who are not able to adopt a family or join a group but would still like to participate, we will have trees in the back of church with stars to purchase household items
such as blankets, pillows, bath towels, kitchen items, diapers and gift cards. We thank you in advance for your continued generosity to our local “neighbors in need”.
If you have any questions or to sign up to adopt a family (either individually or as a group) please call Patty Papke at 680-3134.

Thank you to those who have already dropped off gifts!
