St. Vincent de Paul Society

Welcome to the Seven Holy Founders St. Vincent dePaul Society

Thank you for visiting us.

Some members of the SHF
St. Vincent dePaul Society - known as Vincentians - gather to consider how to support the most needy in our community.

A Heartfelt Thank You
There are no words that seem adequate enough to express our sincerest thank-you to all of our wonderful
parishioners, who SO GENEROUSLY gave to the St. Vincent de Paul Society this year to help with Thanksgiving and Christmas presents for the needy. Literally hundreds of presents were bought, wrapped, and delivered to church and the Rectory Office...helping almost 30 families. These pictures are just a small part of what was donated. Because of YOU and your willingness to share with those who are less fortunate, we were truly able to make Christmas a little brighter for so many. Families were able to celebrate with their children….
YOU helped us assist Santa Claus in bringing toys and smiles to so many little ones. And the amount
of food that was donated was amazing.
Is it better to give, that to receive? Obviously it is, because
Seven Holy Founders Parishioners responded with a great, big
                                                                                             YES!!!
May God bless you abundantly for taking such good care of the least of our brothers and sisters.
The Members of the St. Vincent de Paul Society

Through the Generous Support of the Parishioners of Seven Holy Founders,
our St. Vincent de Paul Society has been able to...

  • Provide monetary assistance, food and donated household items  to over 175 families during the last year.
  • Give over $30,000 in rent and utility assistance for families in need.
  • Twin with St. Vincent dePaul parish in the city to feed a total of over 5,000 meals through a cook-in program.
  • Donate in excess of $15,000 worth of in-kind goods and services, clothing, furniture, food and Christmas gifts.
  • Help over 35 families in our parish and other parishes at Christmas time with our Giving Tree donations.
  • Work with fourteen other church communities in the 63123 area to support the Affton Community Food Pantry, which annually helps 240 to 350 families in our area put food on their tables.
  • Deliver over 3,300 cans of food and other food items to the Affton Food Pantry due to contributions made by our parishioners to the "Fill the Van" food drive held on our parking lot.  Our parish not only filled the van, but needed some members' vans to help transport all the donations.
  • Help staff the Affton Food Pantry several days a week with volunteers from our parish.
  • Hold an annual Thanksgiving Food drive every November to help feed needy families at that time of the year.
